Description

This modern, organic pigment is a synthetic version of the red pigment found in madder roots. This was the first natural pigment to be synthesized.  This shows beautiful depth of color when used translucently. It is not as bluish as some modern versions of Alizarin that are commercially made.  Best in a water-based medium but it will exhibit some granulation.  For oils, expect to do a through rubbing with a muller on grinding plate to disperse the pigment into your oil of choice.
