Historical Sets

We’ve had a long, long development period to create these historical sets, researching environmentally sound (reusable & recyclable) packaging, and sourcing the least harmful but period-correct artist colors from around the world.  A very few colors are more hazardous, so they have plenty of cautions, but there’s nothing quite like Cobalt Blue.

Hence, we’ve developed six new Historical Pigment Sets ranging from Pre-Historic, Ancient World, Asian, Medieval (French), Renaissance, and Modern (c. 1750’s- present).  We’ve provided options so you can buy larger size replacement jars of color when you find ones you love.  You can develop your own signature colors as many well-known artists do.
