Description
Egyptian Green was a very important pigment in the ancient world. It was historically made by heating up silicate sand with limestone and copper ore such as malachite, to yield a green glass that was suitable for powdering – very similar to the better known Egypt Blue pigment. Use of this pigment dates back as far as 2500 BCE, in Egypt, Crete, and Iraq. This product is a high purity modern copper silicate glass that is suitable for all kinds of applications.
